Radiologic Technologist with CT Certification–PRN

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Ancillary Services, the X-Ray Technician is responsible performing x-ray exams and related duties. Participates in a team environment to include open communication, trust, accountability and mutual respect.


Minimum requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of accredited x-ray technician training program.
  • Graduate of accredited CT technician training program.
  • Registered by ARRT, current CPR certificate.
  • Knowledge of x-ray technical principles, policies, and procedures, anatomy and physiology necessary to perform testing, patient safety procedures, and quality care standard.
  • Minimum one year of experience in x-ray and CT.
  • Proficient in MS Office preferably in Excel and Word; ability to work with limited supervision; possess strong verbal communication skills, good organization skills and attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties include the following, but are not limited to)

  • Performs x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials
  • Prepares contract media and barium.
  • Ensures equipment is in working orders.
  • Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes paperwork.
  • Maintains examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Develops and processes radiologic films.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
