Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with acute, chronic, traumatic, and overuse injuries and other disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Surgeons at DMA help treat many common problems such as: carpal tunnel, arthritis related problems, back injuries, fractures, shoulder injuries, tennis elbow, foot problems, trigger finger, ankle problems and achilles tendon ruptures. Orthopedic surgeons also routinely perform knee replacements, hip replacements, and arthroscopic procedures that use a scope to examine or repair joints.
